Benefits of Working with TD

World Class Reliability

The biggest frustration with residential snow removal is wondering if—or when—the plow will show up.

At TD Landscape Management, we utilize optimized routing software and GPS-tracked vehicles to ensure consistent service times. We limit the number of clients on each route to ensure that even in the heaviest blizzards, we have the capacity to reach your home quickly.

You’ll never be left stranded in your own garage.

Safety & Planning

We begin every season by "staking" your property, marking driveway edges, fire hydrants, and sensitive landscaping features to prevent damage under the snow.

Our equipment is maintained to the highest standards to prevent hydraulic fluid leaks on your pavers, and our operators are trained to stack snow in pre-determined areas that won't obstruct your line of sight or cause drainage issues during the spring thaw.

Transparent Communication & Billing

Clear communication helps make a stress-free winter.

We provides automated service alerts, so you know exactly when our crew is en route to your home and when the job has been completed.

With straightforward seasonal contracts and no hidden "heavy snowfall" surcharges, you can budget for the winter with confidence, knowing exactly what to expect from your service provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a burning question or something you are curious about? We've got the answers you need! Take a look through some of the questions we get on a regular basis, and feel free to reach out if you want to learn more.

At what snow depth do you start plowing?

Our standard residential "trigger" is 5 cm (2 inches) of accumulation. We monitor local weather stations and radar specifically for your neighborhood. Once the snow reaches that 5 cm mark, our crews are dispatched. For lighter dustings that don't hit the trigger, we offer optional on-call clearing or salt-only visits to manage slippery surfaces.

Will I be able to get out of my driveway in time for work?

Our goal is to have all "overnight" snowfall cleared by 7:00 AM. We plan our routes strategically to ensure high-efficiency travel between homes. In the event of a continuous daytime storm, we perform "multiple passes" to ensure you can get back into your driveway at the end of the workday without facing a massive snow berm.

What happens when the city plow pushes a "wall" of snow at the end of my driveway?

In Ontario, the "windrow" (the heavy, icy pile left by city plows) is the biggest headache for homeowners. Our service includes windrow clearing. If the city plow passes after we have already cleared your driveway, we will return for a "follow-up" pass to ensure you aren't boxed in by the city’s heavy machinery.

Do you clear my front lead-walks and stairs, or just the driveway?

We offer customizable packages! While our standard service covers the main driveway, many of our clients opt for our "Full Perimeter" package. This includes hand-shoveling or snow-blowing your front porch, the walkway to your front door, and any city sidewalks bordering your property. We take extra care to ensure ramps and steps are scraped down to the pavement.

Is the salt you use safe for my concrete and my pets?

Standard rock salt can be harsh on new concrete and sensitive paws. At TD Landscape Management, we use treated salt or calcium-magnesium acetate (CMA) upon request. These products are effective at much lower temperatures and are significantly less corrosive to masonry and safer for your pets' foot pads. We always recommend "pet-friendly" options for walkways and stairs.

How do you make sure you don't damage my lawn or my cars?

Before the first flake falls, our team performs a pre-season site stakeout. We install reflective "snow stakes" along the edges of your driveway and near sensitive landscape features (like young trees or expensive curbs). This gives our operators a visual guide even in whiteout conditions. Our operators are also trained to maintain a safe distance from parked vehicles and garage doors, utilizing "back-dragging" techniques to clear right up to the door without contact.
