Benefits of Working with TD

Expert Timing

The secret to effective weed control isn't just what you use, but when you use it.

We time our applications to hit weeds when they are most vulnerable so that we get the best possible results.

Environmental Responsibility & Safety

We live and work in this community too, which is why we prioritize the responsible use of all treatments.

We use the minimum amount of product necessary to achieve maximum results. We offer options that are mindful of children and pets, and we provide clear communication regarding "dry times" and safety protocols after every visit, giving you total peace of mind.

Full Turf Health Strategy

Weed control is just one piece of the puzzle. We don't just treat the symptoms; we improve the "immune system" of your soil.

Our team looks for the underlying causes and offers solutions like aeration and lime treatments.

By creating a healthy, dense turf canopy, we reduce your long-term reliance on herbicides and create a sustainable, beautiful landscape.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a burning question or something you are curious about? We've got the answers you need! Take a look through some of the questions we get on a regular basis, and feel free to reach out if you want to learn more.

Is the weed control you use legal in Ontario?

Yes. We strictly follow the Ontario Cosmetic Pesticide Ban. We utilize specially formulated, professional-grade biopesticides (such as those derived from iron) that are approved for residential use. These treatments effectively target broadleaf weeds like dandelions and thistle without harming your grass or violating municipal bylaws.

Are your treatments safe for my kids and pets?

With our professional iron-based applications, you’ll often see weeds begin to turn black or shrivel within 24 to 48 hours. However, for a complete "root-kill," it may take a few days. For stubborn perennials like Clover or Ground Ivy, a follow-up application (included in many of our packages) may be necessary to ensure they don't bounce back.

Why can't I just buy "Weed B Gon" at the hardware store and do it myself?

Retail products available to homeowners in Ontario are often diluted or use different active ingredients than the commercial-grade equipment and mixtures we use. Our technicians are Licensed Termite & Greenhouse/Landscapers who understand the exact timing, pressure, and concentration needed to kill the weed without "burning" your turf.

What happens if it rains right after you spray?

We monitor the radar closely! Most of our products are "rain-fast" within 30 to 60 minutes. If a surprise Ontario downpour happens immediately after an application and washes away the treatment, just let us know. We stand by our work and will come back out to re-treat the area at no extra cost.

Does your service include "Crabgrass" prevention?

In Ontario, traditional chemical pre-emergents are restricted for cosmetic use. However, we manage crabgrass through high-density turf management. By over-seeding with high-quality rye and fescue and applying corn gluten meal (a natural pre-emergent) at the exact right soil temperature in the spring, we can significantly reduce crabgrass germination.
